Brandon Kohuch Named NCHA Player of the Week
Senior had 53 saves in scoreless tie with River Falls

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Brandon Kohuch (Windsor, Ontario/Chatham Maroons) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Tuesday (February 10) for his performance in a scoreless tie with visiting UW-River Falls the previous Saturday night (February 7).

Kohuch, a senior goaltender, tallied 53 saves in the contest, the highest total in program history during a shutout performance. River Falls recorded 15 shots on goal in the first period, 16 in the second, 17 in the third, and five in overtime.

Kohuch also moved into second place in team history with 1,955 career saves, surpassing the previous mark of 1,933 set by Joel Cameron ’05 and trailing only fellow senior Scott Campbell, who has 2,174.

Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
