Scott Campbell Named NCHA Player of the Week
Freshman helped Foresters earn home playoff series

Scott Campbell is 4-3-0 in NCHA play this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Scott Campbell (Bloomfield, ON/Elmira Sugar Kings) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Monday (February 13). The Foresters split a series with St. Norbert College, the top-ranked team in the nation, over the weekend (February 10-11) and Campbell was in goal for the team’s 4-2 road victory on Saturday.

Campbell, a freshman, stopped 39 of the Green Knights’ 41 shots on goal in the game, including all 16 in the opening period and 15 in the third. The performance raised his save percentage on the year to .915, the 16th-best mark in the nation.

The victory was also extremely important as it helped the Foresters earn home-ice advantage for the upcoming NCHA quarterfinal series against UW-Stevens Point.

Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
