Joel Cameron Named NCHA Player of the Week
Junior leads the nation in save percentage

Joel Cameron's .947 save percentage leads the nation.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Joel Cameron (Markham, ON/Milton Merchants) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week Monday (February 16) after helping lead the Foresters to three points in league play last weekend (February 13-14).

Cameron recorded his third shutout of the season in Friday night’s 4-0 victory over the College of St. Scholastica. The junior stopped each of the Saints’ 26 shots on goal in the game.

He also tallied 27 saves in a 2-2 tie against UW-Superior Saturday afternoon and finished the weekend with a .964 save percentage.

Cameron .947 save percentage on the year is the best mark in the nation. He also ranks second in the country with a 1.61 goals against average and 11th with a winning percentage of .808 (10-2-1). He finished the regular season ranked first in the NCHA in both save percentage (.953) and goals against average (1.49) in league play.
