Foresters Fall on Friday and Saturday
Lake Forest loses by a pair of goals on a pair of nights

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College dropped two home Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's games over the weekend. On Saturday (February 3rd), the Foresters were tripped up, 3-1, by UW-Superior. Friday (February 2nd), Lake Forest fell, 6-4, to College of St. Scholastica.

The losses dropped Lake Forest's record to 11-10-2 overall and 3-9-0 in NCHA games.

On Friday, Lake Forest pulled twice pulled within two games in the game's final period. With just over five minutes gone, Mark Grumetza's (Edson, Alberta) goal made the score 5-3, but a St. Scholastica score under three minutes later would push the lead back up to three goals. Frankie Demasi (Toronto, Ontario) again got the Foresters within two goals when he scored with two minutes remaining, but that would be the closest LF would come.

UW-Superior jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Saturday before the Foresters got on the board with a Dan Holmes (Whitby, Ontario) power play goal at the 11:51 mark of the third period. Superior scored one goal in each period.

Lake Forest will play their final two regular season games next weekend when they travel to UW-Superior on Friday (February 9th) and to St. Scholastica the following day.
