Foresters Fall to Nation's Fifth-Ranked Team
Adam Love scores Lake Forest's lone goal in 5-1 loss

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Lake Forest College men's hockey team suffered a 5-1 loss to visiting UW-Stout, the nation's fifth-ranked team, Friday night (February 6). The Foresters fell to 5-17-1 overall and 0-12-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. The Blue Devils raised their overall record to 16-5-2 and league mark to 8-2-2.

Stout scored the only goal of the opening period on the power play at 9:10

The visitors doubled their lead on another power play score at 5:10 in the second. The Foresters responded with what turned out to be their only goal of the game just 34 seconds later. It was junior Adam Love's (Durham, Ontario/Elmira Sugar Kings) eighth tally of the season with sophomoe Zach Kozak (Mesa, Ariz./Northland College) earning the assist. The Blue Devils regained their two-goal advantage with their only even-strength goal of the game at 13:23.

Stout finally put the game out of reach with power play goals at 16:59 and 18:11 in the third period.

The Foresters will be back on the ice tomorrow night against UW-River Falls. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
