RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The Lake Forest College men’s hockey team was defeated in its final two road games of the regular season over the weekend (February 8-9). The Foresters fell 7-0 at UW-Stout on Friday and 10-1 at UW-River Falls on Saturday. Stout entered the weekend ranked 12th in the country and River Falls ninth. Lake Forest is now 3-20-1 overall and 1-12-0 in NCHA play this year.

Stout scored a pair of goals in the first period on Friday, including a power play score. After a scoreless second stanza, the Blue Devils added five in the third.

River Falls opened the scoring on Saturday with a power play goal three-and-a-half minutes into the contest and led 1-0 after the first period.

The Falcons doubled their lead at 5:03 in the second but a goal by Forester freshman David Ridos (Hamilton, Ont./Stoney Creek Warriors) trimmed the margin back to one at 13:02. His second score of the season was assisted by sophomore Justin Taylor (Sun Valley, Idaho/Walpole Stars) and freshman Ryan Kupperman (Canterbury, N.H./Green Mountain Glades). The home team closed out the second period scoring with a power play goal at 17:10.

River Falls put the game out of reach early in the third period and netted seven goals in the frame.

The Foresters will host the regular season finale Saturday night (February 16) against St. Norbert College, the top-ranked team in the country. The Senior Night game will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the 2007-08 Peter Taylor Award presentation will occur between the first and second periods.
