Scott Campbell Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior saved 79 of 85 shots on goal at Holiday Classic

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Scott Campbell (Bloomfield, Ont./Elmira Sugar Kings) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (January 10) for his performance at Middlebury College’s Holiday Classic last weekend (January 4-5).

Campbell, a junior goaltender, made 39 saves, in the team’s 6-3 victory over Skidmore College in the semifinals of the tournament on Friday. He had 17 stops in each of the first two periods and five in the third. All three of Skidmore’s goals were scored in the third period.

On Saturday Campbell stopped 40 of 43 shots on goal in a 3-1 loss to Middlebury. He had 34 saves without allowing a goal in the first two periods before finally surrendering three scores in the third.

With 79 saves and a .929 save percentage on the weekend, Campbell was named to the Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
