Cody Brown Named NCHA Player of the Week
Goalie tallied 53 saves in tie with St. Norbert
  

Cody Brown held the #2 team in the nation to one goal.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men's hockey player Cody Brown (Calgary, Alberta/ Calgary Canucks) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week Tuesday (January 21) for his contributions to the Foresters' 1-1 tie Saturday (January 18) against St. Norbert College. St. Norbert was the second-ranked team in the nation.

Brown saved 19 shots in the first period and Lake Forest grabbed a 1-0 lead, despite putting just seven shots on goal. In the second period, the sophomore stopped 20 of 21 Green Knight shots and the period ended with the score tied at one. He recorded nine more saves in the third and five in overtime to preserve the tie.

Brown finished the weekend with the highest save percentage in the country (.950). His goals against average is 1.79 and a he has a 7-2-1 record.
