Evans and Boyes record two-point games

STEVENS POINT, WI - UW-Stevens Point picked up a 4-3 win over visiting Lake Forest College on a rare Tuesday night (January 23rd) Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's game.

UW-Stevens Point (13-6-0, 5-3-0 NCHA) won for the 13th time this season, while Lake Forest (11-6-2, 3-5-0) fell for the second straight game after winning six straight contests from December 9th to January 19th.

The Foresters ran out to leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by Bill Boyes (Bright's Grove, Ontario) and David Evans (Calgary, Alberta), but Stevens Point scored the game's next three goals to take a 4-2 lead. Both Boyes and Evans added an assist on the night.

James Austin (Burlington, Ontario) brought Lake Forest within a goal with 30 seconds to play, but Stevens Point would hold on for the victory.

Each goaltender - Lake Forest's Mason Black (Smith Falls, Ontario) and Stevens Point's Dave Cinelli - had 28 saves.

Lake Forest's next four games will be at home, starting this Friday when the Foresters host UW-Stout at Alumni Memorial Ice Rink.
