Foresters Unable to Light the Lamp at Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 4-0 at UW-Stevens Point Friday night (January 23). The Foresters are now 5-13-1 overall this season and 0-8-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. The Pointers, who entered the weekend ranked 13th in the country, raised their overall record to 12-5-2 and league mark to 3-4-1.

The home team got on the scoreboard just 12 seconds into the contest. Stevens Point doubled its lead late in the second period, put the game out of reach on a short-handed score at the 14:23 mark in the third, and added a fourth goal with 55 seconds to play in the game.

Lake Forest senior goaltender Scott Campbell (Bloomfield, Ontario/Elmira Sugar Kings) stopped 50 shot on goal in the game, the fourth time this season he has recorded 50 or more saves. He raised his save percentage on the year one point to .917.

The Foresters will travel to UW-Eau Claire tomorrow for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
