Stout and River Falls Both Win at Lake Forest Over the Weekend
Dan Holmes records a 'hat trick' on Saturday

LAKE FOREST, IL - Despite Dan Holmes's (Whitby, Ontario) three goals on Saturday (January 27th), Lake Forest College dropped a 7-4 decision to visiting UW-River Falls. The previous night the Foresters fell to UW-Stout by a final of 5-2.

Lake Forest scored three of the game's final four goals on Saturday, including the second and third of the game by Holmes, but could not erase the 6-1 lead River Falls had built.

Mason Black (Smith Falls, Ontario) had 38 saves in a losing effort.

On Friday, Stout scored the game's first three goals and held on for a 5-2 win. Stout converted three of 10 power play opportunities, compared to Lake Forest's one of six.

Lake Forest returns to the ice this Friday (February 2nd) when they host College of St. Scholastica.  The Foresters are currently 11-8-2 overall and 3-7-0 in the NCHA this season.
