Lake Forest and Curry are only two unbeaten teams

Tony Fritz's team has climbed another spot in the rankings.
LAKE FOREST, IL - U.S. College Hockey Online released it weekly Top 15 poll Monday (January 5) evening and Lake Forest climbed a spot to fourth on the list. It is the team's highest ranking of the year and comes just before the team takes on #2 St. Norbert College in an important home-and-home series this weekend (January 9-10).

The 11-0-1 Foresters are joined by 10-0-0 Curry College, the seventh-ranked team, as the only unbeaten squads left in the country. Curry climbed eight spots from the last poll, which was three weeks ago.

St. Norbert College (11-1-1) is ranked #2 in the poll behind Norwich College (8-1-0), last year's national champion. Middlebury College (6-1-0) is ranked #3 and UW-River Falls (11-1-1) is #5.

Lake Forest, St. Norbert, and River Falls are all members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. River Falls is tied with two other schools for first place in the league with six points. Lake Forest and St. Norbert, who have each played two fewer games than the rest of the conference, have four and two points, respectively, making this weekend's series crucial for both teams.

The Foresters and Green Knights will face off at 7:00 Friday night in Lake Forest and at the same time on Saturday in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The USCHO.com Poll is compiled by U.S. College Hockey Online and consists of 15 voters, including coaches and beat writers from across the country.
