Sean Farley Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior had two goals and an assist in final career game

Sean Farley
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Sean Farley (Park Ridge, Ill./Utica College) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (March 11) for his performance in the team’s 4-3 Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Four semifinal loss to Marian University the previous Friday (March 5).

Farley, a senior forward, scored two of the Foresters’ three goals and assists on the other. His first goal gave the team the early lead at the 2:48 mark of the opening period. After Marian scored four unanswered goals, the last with just 71 seconds to play in the third period, Farley led Lake Forest’s comeback effort by assisting on a goal with 52 seconds left and scoring with less than four seconds to play. He was the only player from either of Friday’s losing squads to be named to the All-Tournament Team.

It was the third two-goal game of the year for Farley, who finished the season with 17 points on 11 goals and six assists. His three points in the contest also tied a career-high.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
