VICKAR NAMED ALL-NCHA HONORABLE MENTION AND ALL-ACADEMIC
For the second consecutive year, Lake Forest goalkeeper
Aaron Vickar, a senior from Chesterfield, MO, has been named to the Honorable
Mention All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association team, as well as, to
the conference All-Academic team. Vickar, who transferred to Lake
Forest two years ago from the University of North Dakota where he won an
NCAA Division I national championship, played and started 19 games in front
of the Forester's net. He compiled a 4.2 goals against average, stopped
668 shots and recorded an 89% save percentage this season. Additionally,
Vickar was named the NCHA Player of the Week and U.S. College Hockey Online
national Division III Defensive Player of the Week after the Foresters
split with pre-season conference favorite Bemidji State during the opening
weekend of the season. |
