Chris Rook Earns First Team Academic All-District Honors
Recent graduate finished career with +45 plus/minus rating

Chris Rook excelled on the ice and in the classroom.
LAKEFOREST, IL- CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) released its 2004 Academic All-America College Division Men’s At-Large District V Teams Thursday (May 27), and Lake Forest College hockey player Chris Rook (Barrie, ON/Milton Merchants) was named to the first team. The sports included in the At-Large Division are golf, ice hockey, tennis, swimming & diving, and wrestling.

Rook, a defenseman, was one of the Foresters’ assistant captains this past season and helped lead the team to an 18-6-4 overall record and the first Northern Collegiate Hockey Association semifinals appearance since Lake Forest joined the league in 1992. Rook earned Honorable Mention All-NCHA honors and was also named to the NCHA All-Academic Team. He recorded 14 points on the year on two goals and 12 assists and ranked second on the squad with a +19 plus/minus rating

The recent graduate led the team in plus/minus rating each of the previous two seasons and finished his career with 28 points on four goals and 24 assists.

To be eligible for consideration for CoSIDA’s Academic All-America or All-District Teams, a player must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20. Rook and the other nine first team honorees advanced to the national ballot.
