Foresters Use Four Unanswered Goals to Secure 4-1 Win
Mason Black records 27 saves in net

LAKE FOREST, IL - After a scoreless first period and a UW-Eau Claire goal early in the second period, the Lake Forest College offense came alive and rattled off four goals in route to a 4-1 Forester victory on Friday (November 10th) in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's hockey action.

Lake Forest (3-1-0, 2-1-0 NCHA) won their second straight game, while Eau Claire (2-3-0, 1-3-0) has won just once in league play.

Ian Sgambelluri scored the game's opening goal on the power play at the 4:07 mark of the second period. Lake Forest would answer with a Frank DeMasi (Toronto, Ontario) power play goal less than three minutes later.

Tom Dutton (Wadsworth, IL), Dan Holmes (Whitby, Ontario), and Mark Grumetza (Edson, Alberta) would add even-strength goals in the final period to secure the win for Lake Forest.

Goaltender Mason Black (Smith Falls, Ontario) had 27 saves and allowed just one goal to record his second victory in as many outings this season.

The Foresters held Eau Claire to one goal in 11 power play attempts.

Lake Forest's next game will come tomorrow (November 11th) when they host UW-Stevens Point.
