Foresters Ranked #15 in the Nation

LAKE FOREST, IL - US College Hockey Online released its weekly Division III men's hockey rankings Monday (November 10), and Lake Forest College was ranked 15th. The team was among the "others receiving votes" last week.

The Foresters are 2-0-1 so far this season with a pair of victories over (then) ranked opponents. Lake Forest hosted and defeated UW-Superior 3-2 on Sunday, November 2. The Yellowjackets were ranked #6 at that time and are now #8. The Foresters also knocked off the University of St. Thomas 4-3 on Friday (November 7). The Tommies were ranked #14 going into the weekend and are now one of the "others receiving votes." On Saturday, (November 8), Lake Forest and St. Mary's University played to a 5-5- tie.

The Foresters finished the 2002-03 season with a 13-9-5 overall record and a 6-7-1 mark in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. This year's team has 17 players back from last year (five seniors, nine juniors, three sophomores) and ten newcomers. Eight of the ten most recent additions to the roster have already recorded at least one point in the first three games this season.

Lake Forest will host Hamline University (4:00 p.m. Friday) and Bethel College (7:00 p.m. Saturday) this weekend (November 14-15). The Foresters will go on the road the following weekend (November 21-22) and take on St. Olaf College and Gustavus Adolphus College.
