LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Zach Kozak (Mesa, Ariz./Northland College) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Wednesday (November 12) for his performance the previous weekend (November 7-8).

Kozak, a sophomore forward, scored Lake Forest's only goal in their 3-1 loss to St. John's University at home Friday night. It was his first goal as a Forester and tied the score at one early in the second period.

In a 4-3 overtime victory over visiting Concordia College Moorhead on Saturday, Kozak assisted on a goal midway through the second period that tied the game at two. After the Cobbers regained the lead, Kozak scored the tying goal at 11:44 in the third period and added the game-winner with 32 seconds remaining in the five-minute overtime.

The NCHA Player of the Week is selected by the league's sports information director.
