Zach Kozak Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Four-point weekend lands sophomore the award

Zach Kozak
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s hockey player Zach Kozak (Mesa, Ariz./Northland College) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (November 13) for his performance in a pair of games the previous weekend (November 7-8).

Kozak, a sophomore forward, took over the team lead in goals on one weekend's worth of production. He accounted for the team's only score Friday night in a 3-1 loss at home to St. John's University and followed that up with a three-point performance in a 4-3 overtime victory over visiting Concordia College Moorhead on Saturday. He helped tie that game at two with an assist midway through the second period, made the score 3-3 with a goal of his own with 8:16 to play in regulation, and then scored the game-winner with 32 seconds left in the extra period.

Kozak is also tied for the team lead with four points on the year.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Kozak was also named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Wednesday.
