Lake Forest Ties Gustavus Adolphus 1-1 on Friday Night
Justin Howard records 22 saves

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College and Gustavus Adolphus College skated to a 1-1 tie on Friday night (November 17th) during a non-conference men's hockey match-up at Alumni Memorial Ice Rink. 

It was the first tie of the season for either team.

Lake Forest (3-2-1) remained undefeated (1-0-1) in non-conference play this season.

Gustavus Adolphus (1-4-1) did not lose for just the second time this year.

Both teams scored their lone goal in the second period, with Gustavus Adolphus striking first. Tom Awaijane scored on a five-on-three power play at the 10:22 mark for the game's first tally.

Lake Forest's Frankie Demasi (Toronto, Ontario) tied the score just over three minutes later. Demasi's third goal of the season was assisted by Wes Wiseman (Burlington, Ontario). 

Both goaltenders were solid, with LF's Justin Howard (Burlington, Ontario) notching 22 saves. GAC's Bebby Dennis had a game-high 27 stops.

The Foresters will face another Minnesoate Intercolliegate Athletic Association opponent tomorrow night (November 18th), when they host St. Olaf College at 7:30.
