After a scoreless opening period, Eau Claire got on the scoreboard at the 4:37 mark of the second and added a power play goal at 10:26 to close out the scoring.
Forester junior Scott Campbell (Bloomfield, Ont./Elmira Sugar Kings) stopped 45 of 47 shots on goal to raise his save percentage on the year to .909.
Stevens Point scored its first goal on Saturday with just five seconds remaining in the first period. The Pointers then broke away with a goal at 4:30 in the second stanza and power play scores at 5:34 and 10:16. The home team netted another goal at 14:08 and converted a power play opportunity with 1:16 remaining in the period. Another power play goal was score 1:42 into the third period and even strength scores at 11:11 and 12:45 closed things out.
Lake Forest’s next game will be a non-conference contest at Lawrence University next Saturday (November 24) at 7:00 p.m.
