Lake Forest Falls in Third Period at UW-Superior
Yellowjackets break 1-1 tie with five last period goals

Ryan Panet scored his first goal of the young season.
SUPERIOR, WI - The Lake Forest College men's hockey team played UW-Superior, the defending national champions, evenly for 40 minutes, but five third period goals spelled doom for the Foresters. The final score was 6-1 in favor of the Yellowjackets, who are 2-1-0 overall and ranked fourth in the country this season. Both teams are 1-1-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play.

A trio of Forester sophomore forwards produced the game's first goal, which came at the 16:28 mark of the opening period. Ryan Panet (Markham, Ontario/Wexford Raiders) scored for the first time this season while Andrew Francone (Unionville, Ontario/Milton Merchants) collected his second assist and Dave Williams (Thornhill, Ontario/Thornhill Rattlers) recorded his first.

The home team evened the score at the 11:19 mark of the second period. Lake Forest sophomore goalie Joel Cameron (Markham, Ontario/Milton Merchants) saved 26 of 27 shots on goal during the frame.

Cameron's fortunes turned in the final period, however, as Superior scored five times while allowing the Foresters few scoring opportunities and just one shot on goal.

Lake Forest will play its first two home games of the season next weekend (November 8-9). The Foresters will host UW-Eau Claire (1-3-0, 1-1-0 NCHA) on Friday and UW-Stevens Point (1-1-0, 1-1-0), the nation's 10th-ranked team, on Saturday. Both contests will begin at 7:30 p.m.
