LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College men's hockey team remained unbeaten against Marian College with a 6-2 victory Saturday (November 24th) night. The non-conference win gives the Foresters an 8-0-2 all-time record against the Sabres.

Leading the way for the home team was junior forward Matt Bruni (Unionville, Ontario), who scored three goals in the game. His second career hat trick (the other came against Marian two years ago) gives him a team-leading seven for the season, with six coming in the team's last four games.

Freshman forward Ryan Panet (Markham, Ontario) scored twice in the game, giving him four goals on the season and three on the weekend. Fellow freshman forward Troy Muspratt (Calgary, Alberta) scored his first career goal, which turned out to be the game winner.

Junior forward David Evans (Calgary, Alberta) recorded three assists in a game for the seventh time in his career. Sophomore forwards Adrian Wong (Richmond, British Columbia) and Bryan O'Connor (Calgary, Alberta) had two assists apiece and junior forward Mike McKenna (Ottawa, Ontario) and freshman forwards Derek Myronuk (Smithville, Ontario) and Andrew Francone (Unionville, Ontario) were each credited with one.

Panet and Bruni each scored in the first period and early second period scores by Muspratt and Bruni gave the Foresters a 4-0 lead. After Marian got on the scoreboard with 5:33 to play in the second, Panet scored again just 22 seconds later. Marian scored its other goal with 12:32 to play in the game. Bruni's third goal of the game came with 6:15 remaining and closed out the scoring.

Lake Forest's record is now 4-3-1 and they'll take a 2-2-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark into next weekend's (November 30-December 1st) league games against UW-River Falls (Friday) and UW-Stout (Saturday). Both games are at home.
