LAKE FOREST, IL - US College Hockey Online released its weekly Division III men's hockey rankings Monday (November 24), and Lake Forest College was ranked 10th. The team cracked the top 15 two weeks ago and was ranked 13th in last week's poll.

The Foresters are 6-0-1 so far this season with five of those six victories coming against schools from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Lake Forest also defeated Northern Collegiate Hockey Association foe UW-Superior 3-2 in a non-conference game. Superior, who was #6 in the preseason poll, fell to #12 this week. Fellow NCHA teams St. Norbert College and UW-River Falls are ranked #2 and #5, respectively.

Lake Forest began the year with four wins and a tie in five home games before taking to the road for the first time last weekend. The Foresters won 3-2 at St. Olaf College on Friday and recorded a 3-0 shutout at Gustavus Adoplphus College on Saturday.

The Foresters finished the 2002-03 season with a 13-9-5 overall record and a 6-7-1 mark in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. This year's team has 17 players back from last year (five seniors, nine juniors, three sophomores) and ten newcomers.

The weekend (November 28-29) Lake Forest will take on Marian College Friday night at 8:00 and Lawrence University Saturday afternoon at 4:00 at the Marian College Hockey Showcase.
