Lake Forest Ranked 13th in Nation in USCHO Preseason Poll
Foresters also predicted to finish fourth in NCHA

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College men’s hockey team is ranked 13th in the nation in U.S. College Hockey Online’s Preseason poll. The Foresters finished the 2003-04 season listed eighth in the same poll.

Lake Forest posted an 18-6-4 record last year, the team’s best mark since the 1990-91 squad was 18-6-2. At 7-5-2 and in fourth place, the Foresters recorded their best Northern Collegiate Hockey Association record and finish since joining the league in 1992. This year the team returns 18 of its 24 letterman from the 2003-04 squad.

The NCHA Coaches’ Poll was also recently conducted and the league’s eight head coaches predicted another fourth-place finish for the Foresters in 2004-05. St. Norbert College was tabbed for first place, UW-River Falls second, and UW-Superior third.

Head Coach Tony Fritz is back for his 27th season on the Lake Forest bench. He will again be assisted by Ken Klein (13th year) and Chris Gallagher ’01 (6th).
