Brandon Kohuch Named NCHA Player of the Week
Freshman saved 38 of 39 shots on goal in collegiate debut

 Brandon Kohuch recorded 38 saves in his first college game.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men’s hokey player Brandon Kohuch (Winsdor, ON/Chatham Maroons) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Monday (October 31). The Foresters split a series with Milwaukee School of Engineering over the weekend (October 28-29) and Kohuch was in goal for the team’s 4-1 victory on Friday.

Kohuch, a freshman, stopped all but one of the Raiders’ 39 shots on goal in the season opener in Milwaukee. He tallied a dozen saves in the opening period, 18 in the second, and eight in the third to earn the victory in his collegiate debut. The home team’s only score of the game came with 45 seconds remaining in the second stanza.

Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
