Inducted 1989 Growing up in Hartford, Connecticut, Hilda attended Oxford School. She played basketball for four years, serving as captain her senior year, and was a class officer. She entered Lake Forest in 1972 and went on to earn four letters in basketball. She captured the Most Valuable Player award three times and led the team as captain her senior year. Hilda was one of the College's highest scorers and ended her collegiate career with an impresive average of 19.6 points per game. Her leadership and excellence was not limited to the basketball court. Hilda was a member of the Black Ensemble, African Students for African Liberation and the Dean's List. In addition, she was a sports reporter for the Stentor. After graduating with a degree in chemistry in 1976, Hilda became a computer programmer for IMI Systems in Parsippany, New Jersey.
