Inducted 2001 A native of Piper City, Illinois, Jill was an All-Conference and All-Area performer in both basketball and volleyball at Ford Central High School. She led her basketball team to Elite Eight appearances during her junior and senior years. She was also a Senior Athletic Award recipient, a Scholar Athlete Award winner, and member of the National Honor Society. Jill enrolled at Lake Forest College in the fall of 1987. While at Lake Forest, she earned a total of eight varsity letters - three in volleyball, one in softball, and four in the sport in which she excelled, basketball. Jill was named a Kodak Regional All-American during each of her last three seasons and an American Women Sports Federation Second Team All-American as a junior and First Team pick as a senior. She was a four-year All-Conference selection and was named Lake Forest Most Valuable Player three times. She was elected the team's captain for her junior and senior seasons. The Foresters won at least 14 games during each of her four seasons at Lake Forest and broke or tied school records for wins three times. Jill led the nation in free throw shooting accuracy as a junior and graduated as the school's all-time career leader in points (1,883), field goals (774), free throws (329), and free throw percentage (81.0%). She ranked second for rebounds (608), assists (326), and steals (219), and fourth for field goal percentage (51.1%). In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Jill was a Senior 25 selection. After graduating from Lake Forest in 1991, Jill worked in software development, primarily with the health care industry. Jill lists her family, which includes her husband, Richard '90, and two sons, Matthew and Austin, as her greatest lifetime achievements.
