Inducted 1984 Growing up in Grosse Point, Michigan, Katherine attended Grosse Point University School. She entered Lake Forest in 1964 and went on to earn four letters in tennis, one in field hockey and three in basketball. In tennis she was a top player and her sophomore year she won the women's doubles tournament at Milliken University. Graduating with a degree in psychology, Katherine received her Master's degree in regional planning from the University of Michigan in 1974. She worked for VISTA and for the Durango, Colorado city and county planning offices. A carpenter with a construction company for seven years, she also worked for a Durango video production company, producing shows for the institution market. Katherine stays active bicycling, running and playing racquetball.
