Both senior Tim Andris (Port Washington, WI/Port Washington) and freshman Greg Klos (Carol Stream, IL/Glenbard North) shot 2-for-3 from beyond the arc and scored 10 points. Lake Forest shot 55.6% (25-of-45) from the floor and outrebounded St. Norbert 31-29. The Green Knights shot 44.0% (22-of-50) but made 20 free throws and forced the Foresters into 19 turnovers. St. Norbert gradually built an 11-point halftime lead (38-27). Lake Forest opened the second half with a 17-2 run to take a 44-40 lead with less than 14 minutes to play. The home team regained the advantage a few minutes later and held it until a pair of Klos free throws with 2:23 remaining put the Foresters ahead 61-60. St. Norbert took it back just 15 seconds later and led the rest of the way. McDonald was even more impressive the following afternoon at Beloit, shooting 14-of-18 from the field and scoring a game-high 35 points. He was also 7-of-9 from the line and added a game-high six boards and two steals. Andris scored 13 point and dished out four assists. Freshman forwards Franklyn Beckford (Jacksonville, IL/Jacksonville) and Henry Wimp (Chicago, IL/DeLaSalle) each scored 10. Beloit led 17-7 after six minutes of play and 40-39 at halftime. Beckford scored the first basket of the second half and the Foresters led by as many as ten (66-56) before the home team began to come back. The Buccaneers regained the lead (75-74) with 4:28 to play before a 9-1 run put the Foresters back ahead by seven with a minute remaining. The lead was back down to two before McDonald made one of two free throws with six seconds to play. Beloit's final three-point attempt was wide. Lake Forest is scheduled to host a pair of conference games this weekend (February 7-8). Friday's opponent will be first-place Lawrence University (14-3, 8-2 MWC) and will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Foresters will take on Carroll College (6-11, 4-6) at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake
