Eric McDonald earned the fourth Forester Athlete of the Week honor of his career.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men's basketball player Eric McDonald (Elk Grove, IL/Elk Grove) averaged 16.7 points and 6.0 rebounds and also reached a career milestone to earn Thursday's Forester Athlete of the Week honors. McDonald posted a field goal percentage of .517 and a free throw percentage of .905 in three conference games.

In a 66-61 loss at Carroll College Saturday (February 7) the 6-4 forward poured in 23 points and grabbed ten rebounds to record his first double-double of the season. He shot an impressive 91.7% (11-for-12) from the charity stripe in the losing effort.

McDonald was a huge factor in Wednesday's (February 11) 77-66 triumph over the Blueboys of Illinois College, which kept the Foresters in the race for a Midwest Conference Tournament berth. He made 8 of 9 free throws and was 8-for-13 from the field, scoring 25 points to lead the team for the third time in the last four games. The junior captain also pulled down six rebounds.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
