JURECKO, GRUBBS NAMED TO NATIONAL TEAM OF THE WEEK
Lake Forest College sophomores J.R. Jurecko, a center from Libertyville, IL (Libertyville High School) and Alison Grubbs, a guard from Cullom, IL (Tri Point High School), have been named to the Division III Basketball Online National Team of the Week.  It is only the second time this season and third time in two years that two athletes from the same school have been recognized in the same week.
For the week, Jurecko averaged 21.5 and 15.5 rebounds per contest, while connecting on 18-for-26 from the field.  Jurecko, who was also named the Forester Athlete of the Week and Midwest Conference Player of the Week, recorded double figures in points and rebounds during both the Foresters' games this week, in which they split with Knox and Grinnell.  Versus Knox, Jurecko recorded 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting and notched 14 rebounds.  Against Grinnell, Jurecko tallied 26 points (11-of-16 from the field) and 17 rebounds.
Grubbs is making her second appearance on the Team of the Week this season.  She also appeared on the team the week for January 25-31.  Grubbs led the Foresters to two wins last week, including a 82-42 victory over Grinnell, which clinched the Midwest Conference regular season title for Lake Forest and earned the team the right to host this season's conference tournament.  In the win over Grinnell, Grubbs scored 21 points in 21 minutes.  She also dished out a career-high 9 assists, didn't commit a turnover, recorded 4 steals and nailed 5 three-point field goals.  For the week, Grubbs averaged 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 7 assists per game.
Division III Basketball Online selects five men and five women each week to its Team of the Week.  The Midwest Conference has been well represented in this season's Teams of the Week.  An MWC athlete has been selected five times, compared to four selections from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and two selections from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).
