Eric Tolar Named Forester Athlete of the Week

LAKE FOREST, IL - For the second time this season, Lake Forest College men's basketball player Eric Tolar (Maywood, IL/Proviso East) has been named the Forester Athlete of the Week for February 15-21st. He also earned the same honor earlier this season for the week of November 30-December 6th.

Tolar, a sophomore forward/center, scored a team-high 20 points in Saturday's (February 17th) 85-77 victory at home over Knox College. Tolar shot 8-for-13 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free throw line in the game.

In the team's 16 Midwest Conference games this season, Tolar made 62.8% of his field goal attempts (54-86), ranking him second in the league in that category.

The win over Knox clinched the #2 seed for the Foresters in the Midwest Conference Tournament, which will be hosted by Grinnell College this weekend (February 23-24th). 

The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects a Forester Athlete of the Week each Thursday.
