Hoyt Rees Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore pulled down 18 rebounds at Grinnell

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s basketball player Hoyt Rees (Yorkville, Ill./ Yorkville) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (January 17) for his performance in the team’s 96-88 victory at Grinnell College the previous Saturday (January 12).

Rees recorded career-highs with 24 points, 18 rebounds, and five assists in the contest. He also added four steals. Rees shot 9-for-13 from the field and 6-for-9 from the free throw line.

The sophomore forward now leads the Foresters in scoring and rebounding this season at 12.9 points and 8.0 boards per game. He also ranks first on the squad in assists with 23 and steals with 21 this year.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Rees also earned the award last February.
