JURECKO, WYSOCKI NAMED ALL-MWC
Lake Forest's J.R. Jurecko, a 6-7 sophomore center from Libertyville, IL (Libertyville High School), and Joe Wysocki, a 6-3 junior guard/forward from New Berlin, WI (Catholic Memorial High School), have been named to the Honorable Mention All-Midwest Conference team.  Lake Forest joined Monmouth and Lawrence as the only teams to have more than one non-senior named All-Conference (all had two Honorable Mention selections).  Of the 21 All-Conference players, 13 were seniors, including four seniors on both the first and second teams.
Jurecko, despite joining the Forester's team at mid-season, still led the conference in rebounding at 8.6 boards per game, nearly two per game more than any other player in the league.  Jurecko also finished in the conference's top ten for field goal percentage (57.2%) and scoring (15.8 points per game) and was named the MWC Player of the Week and to the Division III Basketball Online National Team of the Week for his performance during the second to last week of the regular season.
Wysocki, after spending last season as the Forester's sixth man, settled nicely into his role as the team's primary offensive threat this season.  Wysocki finished fifth in the league in scoring at 17.2 ppg and also finished third in free throw percentage (83.1%), seventh in three-point percentage (40.9%) and tenth in rebounding (5.7 per contest).
