Patrick Hanley Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior had 44 points and 12 assists in two games

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s basketball player Patrick Hanley (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (November 27) for his performance in a pair of games during the previous seven days.

Hanley, a junior forward, started the week by leading the team with 23 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in a 68-67 loss to visiting Lakeland College Saturday night. He shot 7-for-12 from the floor, including a 4-for-8 performance from three-point range, and knocked down five of seven free throws in the game.

The Foresters defeated the University of Chicago 73-54 at home on Tuesday and Hanley led the team with 21 points, five assists, and three steals. He also chipped in with five rebounds while shooting 7-for-11 from the field, 2-for-3 from beyond the arc, and 5-for-7 from the foul line.

Hanley averaged 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.5 steals in the two games while committing just three turnovers.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Hanley also earned the award twice during the 2006-07 season.
