Michael Brennan '79
A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Brennan graduated from Minneapolis West High School, where he competed in varsity tennis, hockey, and football.

Brennan attended Lake Forest College from 1975 to 1979 and starred on the tennis team.  He played four years as the number one singles player for the Foresters.  Brennan won conference championships in 1978 and 1979, and was the league's runner-up in 1976 and 1877.  Brennan qualified for the 1979 NCAA Division III National Championships in singles.  In the number one doubles bracket, Brennan won conference titles in 1976, 1977, and 1978.  He was the conference runner-up in 1979.  He led Lake Forest to the conference team championship during three of his four seasons (1976, 1977, and 1978).

He also participated in hockey, primarily on the junior varsity team, for four years and was a sports writer for the school newspaper while at Lake Forest.

After graduating from Lake Forest in 1979, Brennan went on to win numerous squash tournaments in the Chicago area as both a singles and doubles competitor.  He was the national runner-up for the C division in 1982.  Michael has remained active in athletics as an assistant coach for his son's youth soccer team and as an avid windsurfer.
