Head Coach Ed Kositzki

Ed Kositzki took over as head coach of the highly-successful Forester men's soccer program in 1994. With an overall record of 130-67-7 (.654) in his 12-year career, Kositzki has carried on the team's winning tradition.

Coach "K's" career Midwest Conference record of 78-29-4 (.721) is even more impressive than his overall mark. He led the 1995 and 1996 squads to back-to-back league titles and claimed his third conference championship in 2001. Kositzki's players have been named all-conference 52 times, including 28 to the first team. They have also garnered 26 Academic All-Midwest Conference distinctions. He has three MWC Coach of the Year awards (1995, 1996, 2000) and is one of only two league coaches with a conference title to his credit.

In 2005 the Foresters posted an 10-5-1 overall record and a 6-3-0 mark in conference play, good for fourth place in the league standings.

Lake Forest had four players earned all-conference distinction in 2005, including two on the first team. It marks the six straight year and the 11th in Kositzki's tenure that at least four Foresters have made the list.

In addition to Kositzki's three league titles, his team has advanced to the four-team MWC Tournament seven other times and has just two losing seasons under his direction. At 17-1-0, his 1995 team still holds the school record for victories and winning percentage in a season.

Before beginning his collegiate coaching career at Lake Forest in 1994, Kositzki was a highly successful coach at the high school level. Coach Kositzki's record of 257-127-53 as an Illinois high school coach includes six district, four North Suburban Conference, and two sectional championships, as well as two Illinois State finals appearances.

Kositzki was an All-American in 1971 at Northern Illinois University and represented the Chicago National Soccer League at the 1968 Olympic Trials.

Included in his commendations, Kositzki is a USSF "A" coach as well as a national soccer clinician for the USSF, AYSO and NSCAA.
