LAKE FOREST, IL - The Midwest Conference recently released its All-Conference selections and the league chose to honor four Lake Forest men's soccer players.

Junior Caleb Chase (Hanover, NH/ Vermont Academy) along with Phil Schwab (St. Louis, MO/ Christian Brothers College H.S) received first team distinctions. Chase led the Foresters with 30 points, and finished third in the conference in that category. He also led Lake Forest and finished third in the league in goals scored. Three of Chase's 12 goals were game winning scores, which ranked him tied-for-second in the conference. The forward also scored two goals in a game four times, and collected a season-high five points against Monmouth College when he scored twice, including the game winning goal, and recorded an assist.

Schwab started and played in 15 games, and anchored a solid defense for the Foresters. The junior defender helped hold all opponents to a combined 26 goals, and helped his team to an overall 9-7-1 mark. Schwab also scored a goal at UW-Whitewater. Both Schwab and Chase were named Conference Players of the week on October 22.

Dan Carver (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield), who was selected to the second team, started and played in all 17 Lake Forest games and scored five goals while tallying 19 points. The junior forward also led the Foresters in assists with nine, and finished second in the league, two assists behind the leader. Carver also notched three game winning goals, and had four points in a game twice during the season.

Also selected to the second team was junior Steve Teisl (Chardon, OH/Gilmour Academy). The forward finished the season scoring four goals and recording six assists, tallying a total of 14 points. Teisl finished fifth in the league in assists.

Lake Forest's 6-3-0 conference mark was good enough for a fourth place finish in the league, but the Foresters fell to top-seeded St. Norbert College in a shoot-out in the Conference Tournament.
