Lake Forest, Ill. – The All-Midwest Conference men’s soccer teams were released on Friday (November 17) and a pair of Lake Forest players made the list. Juniors Attila Schmidt (Akron, Ohio/Western Reserve) and Josh Enck (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) were each second team choices.

Schmidt, a midfielder, led the 2006 Foresters with nine goals and 23 points. He became the first player since 1991 to lead Lake Forest in goals two seasons in a row and now has 46 career points on 16 goals and 14 assists.

Enck started each of the Foresters’ 16 games at sweeper. He scored a pair of goals on the season and added an assist. More importantly, he anchored a defense that surrendered just 1.56 goals per contest.

Both players were First Team All-MWC honorees in 2005 and their status this year gives the program 27 all-conference selections this decade. Lake Forest posted a 7-7-2 overall record this season and its 4-3-2 mark in conference play was good for sixth place in the league standings.
