Lake Forest Wins Fourth Straight With "W" Over Carthage
Foresters claim second straight 3-1 win

LAKE FOREST, IL - Freshmen scored two of Lake Forest College's three goals as the Foresters defeated visiting Carthage College, 3-1, on Saturday (October 21st) for Senior Day.

Lake Forest (11-3-0) won for the fourth straight game and 11th time in their last 12 contests.

Carthage (4-9-2) is still seeking their fifth victory of the season.

The Foresters scored two times in the game's first 35 minutes. Freshman Dan Carver (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) recorded his 12th goal of the year (assisted by Robbie Capogna (Bremerton, WA/Olympic)) in the 34th minute, which was preceded by Caleb Chase's (Hanover, NH) goal in the 27th minute. Chase is also a freshman.

Carthage pulled to within a goal on Jon Purcell's goal in the 52nd minute, but LF's Chad Mickschl (Glendale, WI/Nicolet) scored his fifth goal of the season just under 22 minutes later to give the Foresters a two goal cushion.

Senior Adam Nawrocki (Bayside, WI/Nicolet) had three saves and allowed one goal to record his second straight win in goal.

Lake Forest's next game will come at Dominican University (IL) on Tuesday (October 24th).
