Lake Forest Loses to North Park in Home Finale
Foresters will battle St. Norbert College in Midwest Conference Tournament
Head coach Ed Kositzki has guided 10 of his 12 teams to the MWC Tournament.

LAKE FOREST, IL – After going 10 days without playing a game, the Lake Forest College men’s soccer team suffered a 2-0 shutout in its home finale on Saturday (October 29). The loss was the first for the Foresters since September 24 and drops their overall record to 10-3-1 heading into the Midwest Conference Tournament.

After a scoreless first period, the visitors notched a pair of goals in the second period to record the 2-0 win. North Park out shot Lake Forest 12-5 in the second period and it was only the third time in the 31 contests that the Foresters failed to score a goal.

Lake Forest will be seeded fourth in the MWC Tournament this weekend and will take on hosts St. Norbert College (14-2-0, 9-0-0) in the semifinals. In the other game, Lawrence University (8-6-1, 7-2-0) will battle Ripon College (6-8-1, 6-2-1). The Foresters will enter the tournament with a 6-3-0 record in conference play. All three of Lake Forest’s MWC losses came to the three other teams in the tournament.
