Matt Deimler scored the only goal of Saturday's game.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Forester men's soccer team recorded its third consecutive shutout Saturday (October 4), a 1-0 decision at home against the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Lake Forest raised its record to 7-2-0 on the year while M.S.O.E. fell to 5-4-1.

Freshman goalkeeper Pat Witwicki (Lake Villa, IL/Antioch) recorded a pair of saves in the scoreless first half. The Foresters were out-shot 3-2 in the period.

Sophomore Brad Rathe (Deer Park, IL//Lake Zurich) replaced Witwicki at halftime and had three saves in the final 45 minutes. The Foresters scored the game's only goal when, with just 2:15 remaining in the contest, senior midfielder Matt Deimler (Wadsworth, IL/Warren Township) headed in a corner kick from fellow senior midfielder Evan Klaus (Belvedere, CA/Brooks School). It was Deimler's fifth goal of the year and the team-high third assist of the season for Klaus. Rathe was credited with the victory, the first of his career.

Lake Forest will host Aurora University on Wednesday (October 8) at 4:00 p.m. The Foresters will put their 3-1-0 Midwest Conference record on the line next Saturday (October 11) when Grinnell College comes to town.
