LAMPE'S OVERTIME GOAL PROPELS FORESTERS
PAST CARROLL
Senior Ryan
Lampe (Renta, WA/Kentridge High School) scored the game's only goal
ten minutes into the first overtime session to give the Foresters their
first Midwest Conference win of the '99 season on Wednesday at Carroll.
After starting the year with four consecutive losses, the Foresters have
won three of their last five games. Additionally, Lake Forest's last four
losses have been by a single goal.
Michael
Richardson (W. Simbury, CT/Forest Hills Central H.S.) stopped seven
shots on goal to record the shutout victory and lower his team-low goals
against average to 1.47 overall and 1.30 in MWC play.
The Foresters' record
now stands at 3-6 (1-5 in the MWC). Lake Forest will travel to MWC foes
Illinois College on Saturday and Monmouth on Sunday, before finishing their
conference schedule with a home match with Lawrence on October 23rd. |
