Saverio Traversa is in his first season as an assistant on the Forester staff but has been coaching since 2002.

Traversa has been a staff coach for FC Barrington Club for three years following a season as head coach of the Barrington High School Freshman Girls team in the spring of 2005. He was also the head freshman and sophomore boys coach at Notre Dame High School in Niles, Illinois, from August of 2002 to November of 2004.

Traversa was a forward/midfielder for four years at West Leyden High School in Northlake, Illinois, and three seasons at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois. He also participated in the Chicago Metro League for seven years from 1997 to 2003.

During his coaching career Traversa has earned a United States Soccer Federation "B" License as well as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Professional Development Certificate. He also has an Illinois State Referee License.
