Lake Forest Defeated by Visiting Chicago in Home Opener
Team will host Knox College on Saturday

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Forester men’s soccer team fell 2-0 to the University of Chicago Tuesday (September 11) in Lake Forest’s first home game of the season. The Foresters are now 2-2-0 on the year while the Maroons raised their record to 3-1-0.

Both of Chicago’s goals came early in the game, the first in the 10th minute and the second in the 16th.

Forester junior goalkeeper Sam Malmberg (Concord, N.H./St. Paul's School) recorded a season-high seven saves in the contest.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play at home on Saturday (September 15) against Knox College. The game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
