Despite 21 Shots, Foresters Shut Out at Lawrence
Team is 1-1 in the Midwest Conference

APPLETON, WI - The Forester men's soccer team suffered its first Midwest Conference loss of the season Saturday (September 14), a 3-0 defeat at Lawrence University. Lake Forest is now 1-2 overall on the season and 1-1 in defense of its conference title.

The Foresters certainly had their chances, taking 21 shots, exactly three times the Vikings' seven. Lake Forest also attempted nine corner kicks compared to just two for Lawrence.

The home team's Adam Miner scored twice and Tom Murphy turned away 13 Lake Forest shots on goal to record the shutout.

The Foresters will return home to play Dominican University on Sunday (September 15) at 1:00 p.m. They will also host North Park University on Wednesday (September 18) before resuming conference play next Saturday (September 21) at St. Norbert College.
