Foresters Fall at Carthage Under the Lights
Cochran ties for team lead in goals
  

Andy Cochran has four goals
in five games this year.
KENOSHA, WI - The Forester men's soccer traveled just north of the Illinois-Wisconsin border Tuesday (September 16) evening to take on Carthage College. The Redmen defeated Lake Forest 3-1, dropping the Foresters' record on the year to 4-1-0.

Carthage jumped on the scoreboard early with goals in the 14th and 16th minutes. The teams were held scoreless the rest of the first period.

Junior forward Andrew Cochran (Bedford, NH/Derryfield School) drew the visitors to within a goal in the 50th minute with his fourth of the season. He is now tied for the team lead in goals. Senior midfielder Evan Klaus (Belvedere, CA/Brooks School) recorded the assist, his second of the year.

The Redmen found the back of the net again in the 87th minute to put the game out of reach.

Lake Forest will put its 1-0-0 Midwest Conference record on the line Saturday (September 20) when it plays host to St. Norbert College at 3:30 p.m. The Green Knights (2002) and the Foresters (2001) are the last two MWC Champions.
