North Park Runs Away With 5-0 Victory
Foresters look to rebound at St. Norbert Saturday

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Forester men's soccer team was dealt its third consecutive loss Wednesday (September 19), a 5-0 decision to North Park University. Lake Forest falls to 1-4 overall on the season and remains 1-1 in the Midwest Conference.

The Vikings scored a pair of first-half goals, each in the 28th minute. A red card issued to a Forester player in the 29th minute sealed the home team's fate. Aside from the two scores, the stats from the first half were fairly even for both teams. North Park held a slight edge with six shots to the Foresters' five, and both teams had three corner-kick opportunities.

With Lake Forest a man down throughout the second half, the Vikings were able to control the ball and the game. Three second-half goals came on 12 shots while the Foresters were unable to mount any significant offense.

Lake Forest will look to end a three-game losing streak Saturday (September 21) at St. Norbert College. The Midwest Conference game will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m.
