The game was scoreless until late in the 62nd minute when St. Norbert's Travis King found the back of the net. Less than 12 minutes later, Peter Bernardy of the Green Knights added an important insurance goal. Lake Forest pulled to within one score when junior Steve Teisl (Chardon, OH/Gilmour Academy) notched his first goal of the season. Fellow junior Dan Carver (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) recorded the assist, his team-leading third of the year. The goal occurred at the 75:02 mark but the Foresters were unable to tie the score in the final 15 minutes. It marked the third time in the last four games that Lake Forest lost despite attempting more shots than its opponent. On Saturday, the Foresters out-shot St. Norbert 18-11. On Wednesday (September 25), the Foresters will continue Midwest Conference play at home against Carroll College. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m. Next Saturday (September 28) will be the squad's homecoming game, a 2:00 p.m. contest against Carthage College.
